Japanese often make stir fry with many kinds of ingredients at home. Mothers like making stir fry because you can use whatever you have in your freezer—easy and quick. We eat stir fry with steamed rice. I use oyster sauce and sesame oil this time, so it is kind of like Chinese style Japanese food.
Yield: 2 servings
Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 0.4lb ground pork
- 1/4 medium onion (chopped)
- 1/4 cup green beans (chopped)
- 1/4 cup dried sliced shitake mushrooms (chopped) → leave in the cold water for 30min
- 3 tsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2 tsp sake
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- dash of salt and pepper
- Mix spices together in small bowl
- Heat sesame oil on high heat and cook pork, for 2 min seasoning with salt and pepper to taste
- Add onion, green beans and shitake cook for 3 min over medium heat
- Add mixed sauce, cook for 1 minute
- If you don't have shitake mushrooms, substitute with your favourite mushroom, dried or fresh
