Bananas in Coconut Milk



Banana in coconut milk dessert (Kluai Buat Chi) is very popular in Thailand and Asian. It can be served hot or chilled depending on liking. Usually serves chilled because of the hot weather. Today I am making a hot version. OK, let's get started.


Ingredients ( serve 2 )

2  70% Ripe Bananas
100ml Coconut Milk
50ml water 
3 tablespoons of sugar or palm sugar
A pinch of salt




  • Halve the bananas and cut into 2 inch sizes. Soak them in a cold water to prevent them turning to black. Drain well.
 
  • Heat coconut milk and water with medium heat, be careful not to get them boil. ( For creamier taste add 50ml of coconut milk instead of water)
  • Add bananas, simmer it on low heat for 20 minutes or until the bananas become soft. 
  • Add sugar and salt (Adjust sweetness to liking)
  • Serve warm or chilled.
