Tofu Salad

Tofu is healthy and low calorie so many girls like to eat it. Tofu salad is a popular salad for restaurants in Japan. Please try it with your favorite vegetables. Tofu goes with pretty much everything! There are two basic kinds of tofu: "kinugoshi" (soft) and "momen" (hard). I used momen for this salad.

Yield: 2 servings
Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • Momen Dofu (firm tofu, 150g)
  • 1/2 lettuce head (110g, chopped)
  • 1 Japanese cucumber (80g, chopped)
  • 1 tomato (chopped)
Spices
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
Preparation
  1. Squeeze lemon; mix the lemon juice with olive oil and soy sauce
  2. Cover tofu with paper towel and squeeze to crumble
  3. Spread vegetables on a plate, add tofu, and drizzle soy sauce dressing on top
