Spinach Salad with Sesame Dressing (Goma ae)

Japanese spinach seasoning with a sesame dressing commonly serves as a side dish. It tastes a little sweet and have very nice aroma of sesame. I found the original recipe is a little too sweet for me so I prefer making myself less sweet.

Ingredients (2 servings)

200g Spinach
2 Tablespoons Roasted black sesame seeds
1Tablespoon  Soy sauce
1/2 Tablespoon Sugar

  • Wash the spinach well and boil it into the boiling water for one to two minutes.
  • Remove the spinach and soak in the ice water until cool.
  • Drain and remove the excess water by squeezing the spinach.
  • Cut the spinach into 2 inch sizes and set aside.
  • Grain the sesame and mix well with the remaining ingredients to make dressing.
  • Pour the dressing on the spinach and mix well with hand.
  • Serve immediately.
