Sardine in Tomato Sauce


Sardine in Tomato Sauce is a curry that goes well with rice. It's simple to prepare yet very delicious and comforting food. Sardine is very rich in nutrients, omega-3 fatty acids which are good for health and many more. Especially as its very cheap and available all year round. But if you are sensitive to the odor, add ginger will definitely remove the odor. Use canned Sardine as an  alternative.

 

Ingredients ( servings 2)
4 whole sardines or one canned sardine
1/4 onion
3 cloves garlic
1 teaspoon grated ginger
2 tablespoons of cooking oil
3-4 tablespoons canned tomato ( exclude or use less if use canned sardine)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of paprika powder
1 tablespoon of fish sauce 
A little fresh chili and coriander for garnish ( optional)  


Ingredients

Ingredients: Gut the sardine, wash well, and chop it in half. Chopped Onion and Garlic.

1. Heat oil, add chopped onion, stir until fragrant and add garlic. Keep stirring for a while.

2. Add tomato and break them well.


3. Add fish, paprika, season with salt, fish sauce, turn the heat to low, and simmer it for 20 minutes or as liking. Add fresh chilies and coriander before serving. Serve with hot rice. It goes well with some salad and sour soup as well.
